With the continuous deepening and development of education reform in China,major colleges and universities have accelerated their pace of transformation and upgrading,paying more attention to the cultivation of applied talents.Under this background,the teaching reform of public physical education courses is also facing unprecedented requirements and challenges.Based on this,by using methods of Literature Review and Expert Interviews,this article deeply analyzes the new requirements put forward by the transformation and development for college public physical education courses and the existing problems of college public physical education courses at present.With the goal of cultivating applied talents,it introduces the reform and innovation of college public physical education courses from this perspective,aiming to further promote reform and development of college physical education teaching.
