Corrosion electrochemical behavior of novel grounding material in soil leaching liquor in Shantou
[Introduction]The corrosion electrochemical behavior of conductive polymer based composite grounding material in soil leaching liquor of the substation in Shantou region was studied to provide theoretical reference and data support for the service life prediction and engineering design of conductive polymer based composite grounding materials.[Method]The corrosion electrochemical behaviors of some grounding materials in soil leaching liquor of Shantou were studied by open circuit potential measurement, potentiodynamic polarization curve measurement, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.[Result]The conductive polymer based composite grounding material had a more positive corrosion potential,a lower corrosion current density, and a higher low-frequency impedance magnitude than 20 steel and hot-dip zinc-coated steel. The corrosion resistance of different grounding materials was in the following descending order:conductive polymer based composite grounding material>hot-dip zinc-coated steel>20 steel.[Conclusion]The conductive polymer based composite grounding material has a much higher corrosion resistance than 20 steel and hot-dip zinc-coated steel in the soil leaching liquor of Shantou.
