The Historical Generation and Realistic Inspiration of New China's Diplomatic Discourse——From the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence to the Bandung Conference
The historical formation of New China's diplomatic discourse was based on three major diplomatic activities in the early days since the founding of New China:the negotiations jointly held by Chinese and Indian government delegations on the Sino-Indian relations in Xizang,China, the New China delegation attending the Geneva Conference, and the New China delegation attending the Bandung Conference. The three major diplomatic activities generated the foundation of New China's diplomatic discourse:value orientation——peace and cooperation;key field——developing countries;strategy——seeking common ground while reserving differences. The reason why New China's diplomatic discourse could be generated was that it adhered to and followed the deep logic of the construction of New China's diplomatic discourse:Marxist diplomatic theory, the peace concept of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and the national interests of New China. The discourse construction of the three major diplomatic activities established a framework and pointed out direction for the enrichment and development of the diplomatic discourse system of New China, played an important role in shaping the diplomatic pattern of New China and searching for new discourse fields and platforms. The historical generation of diplomatic discourse in New China had profound practical implications:adhering to the diplomatic discourse principle of combining China's core interests with the universal interests of the world, adhering to the diplomatic discourse field logic of combining old platforms with new spaces, and adhering to the diplomatic discourse expression strategy of combining principle and flexibility.
