Exploration of National Defense Education for All in the Early Period of New China——Centered on Guangdong During the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea
Before the founding of New China,the Communist Party of China had explored the national defense education for all both theoretically and practically.After the founding of New China,facing the severe national defense situation,national defense education immediately began.The national defense education in Guangdong was generally carried out in accordance with the deployment of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,while also reflecting local characteristics in some aspects.Under the leadership of the south China Branch of the Central Committee of the CPC,Guangdong carried out national defense education,which shifted from being vigilant against imperialist aggression and the Kuomintang's counterattack to gradually emphasizing air raid and infiltration prevention.After the start of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea,the promotion and education of Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea was accelerated the process of national defense education.Guangdong combined the air raid and infiltration prevention education with Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea propaganda and education,reflecting a local style of national defense education.Under the theme of"Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea,in defense of the motherland",Guangdong carried out national defense education through channels such as the Nanfang Daily,focusing on the necessity and justice of the War.At the same time,a more comprehensive national defense education mechanism had been established.In a certain sense,it could be said that the propaganda and education of Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea laid the foundation for the defense education of New China and had a long-term and lasting impact.
