A Historical Review of China's Foreign Aid Reform in 1995
After the establishment of the People's Republic of China,foreign aid became an important component of China's diplomatic work and the main form of foreign economic and technological cooperation,and has gone through different stages of development.1995 was a crucial year in the history of China's foreign aid and foreign aid reform.The government made a major decision to comprehensively reform the mode of foreign aid based on the new domestic and international situation and the development requirements of foreign aid work.The implementation of preferential foreign aid loans and joint venture projects not only fundamentally changed China's foreign aid funding structure and methods,but also opened up a new path for expanding equality,mutual benefit,and win-win cooperation between China and developing countries.It also created favorable conditions for the implementation of China's"going global"strategy in 21 century.
