From"Problem Awareness"to"Problem Framework"——A Case Study of Contemporary Shanghai Environmental History Research
The relationship between the"problem awareness"of history as a concept and a way of thinking and topic depends on the academic care forged by the researchers'experience,knowledge,emotions,and aspirations.The prerequisite for researchers to form a clear"problem awareness"when choosing a topic is to search,comb,and grasp sufficient"historical materials"and be familiar with the relevant knowledge system based on their will."Problem awareness"is not suspended,it needs to revolve around the topic,be described through text,and be implemented in the"problem framework".The evolution of its logic starts from the problem and transforms into a narrative chapter with analysis and insights through the pursuit and presentation of the answer.The internal logic of"problem awareness"has different levels and tendencies,so it is not only necessary to capture the specific problem composition up close,but also to capture the overall problem evolution across time and space.
