Clinical effect of Qizhu Shihu Yangwei prescription in treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis with Qi deficiency and blood stasis:An analysis of 35 cases
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Qizhu Shihu Yangwei prescription in the treat-ment of chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)with Qi deficiency and blood stasis. Methods:A total of 70 CAG patients with Qi deficiency and blood stasis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 35 patients in each group. The patients in the treatment group received Qizhu Shihu Yangwei prescription, while those in the control group received Weifuchun Tablet, and the course of treatment was 6 months for both groups. The two groups were observed in terms of overall response, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores(pricking pain in gastric cavity, poor appetite, acid reflux, weakness, and loose stool),pepsinogens(pepsinogen Ⅰ(PGⅠ),pepsinogenⅡ(PGⅡ),and PGⅠ/PGⅡ ratio),gastrin-17(G-17),and adverse reactions. Results:There was a significant difference in overall response rate between the treatment group and the control group[88.57%(31/35)vs 54.29%(19/35),P<0.01].After treatment, the treatment group had significant changes in TCM syndrome scores, pepsinogens, and G-17,and there were significant differences in these indicators between the two groups after treatment(P<0.01 or P<0.05),while the control group had significant changes in the TCM syndrome scores of pricking pain in gastric cavity, poor appetite, and loose stool and the level of PGⅠ(P<0.05).There was a signifi-cant difference in the incidence rate of adverse events between the treatment group and the control group[11.43%(4/35)vs 22.86%(8/35),P<0.05].Conclusion:For CAG patients with Qi deficiency and blood stasis,Qizhu Shihu Yangwei prescription can effectively improve their symptoms and regulate the levels of gastrointestinal hor-mones,and therefore,it holds promise for clinical application.
