Medication rule and mechanism of action of Yan Guangjun in treatment of intestinal cancer:A study based on data mining and network pharmacology
Objective:To investigate the prescription rule and effective prescriptions of Professor Yan Guangjun in the treatment of intestinal cancer based on data mining,as well as the potential mechanism of action of core drugs based on network pharmacology.Methods:Effective prescriptions were collected from the cases of intesti-nal cancer treated by Professor Yan from January 1 to December 31,2022.SPSS Modeler 18.0 was used to analyze the medication rule of Professor Yan,and network pharmacology was used to investigate the potential mechanism of action of core drugs.Results:A total of 100 prescriptions were included,involving 141 traditional Chinese medicine drugs.Most drugs entered the liver and spleen meridians,and they mainly had a warm or cold nature and a sweet or bitter taste.The core drugs were Poria cocos,Atractylodes macrocephala Koidz.,Hedyotis diffusa,Astragalus mem-branaceus,Solanum lyratum Thunb.,Codonopsis pilosula,and prepared Radix Rehmanniae.These core drugs exer-ted a therapeutic effect by regulating the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway,EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor resistance,and the AGE-RAGE signaling pathway via the biological processes including cell apoptosis,signal transduction,and cell proliferation.Conclusion:Professor Yan applies the basic principle of treatment of"clearing up distention and eliminating food retention"and performs treatment from the liver and spleen,with the main methods of strengthening the spleen and benefiting Qi and the assistance of regulating Qi and soothing the liver.Professor Yan also considers the method of nourishing the blood and nourishing the kidney and applies drugs based on the syndromes of stasis,phlegm,dampness,cold,and toxin.The core drugs exert a therapeutic effect on intestinal cancer through multiple components,targets,and pathways.
