Medication rule in treatment of autoimmune thyroiditis in the non-hyperthyroidism stage:A study based on data mining
Objective:To investigate the medication rule in the treatment of autoimmune thyroiditis(AIT)in the non-hyperthyroidism stage by performing data mining of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)prescriptions using Cloud Platform of Ancient and Modern Medical Records V2.3.7.Methods:CNKI,VIP,Wanfang Data, and PubMed were searched for articles on TCM treatment of AIT in the non-hyperthyroidism stage published from Janu-ary 1,2014 to February 29,2024.The articles were screened, and the TCM prescriptions were extracted and ana-lyzed in terms of drug frequency, four properties and five tastes, association rule, and hierarchical clustering. Results:A total of 284 TCM prescriptions for the treatment of AIT in the non-hyperthyroidism stage were included in this study, involving 268 single herbs, with a total frequency of use of 3 195.The top 10 drugs in terms of frequency of use were Prunella vulgaris,Bupleurum chinense,Astragalus membranaceus,Atractylodes macroceph-ala Koidz.,Poria cocos,Radix Paeoniae Alba,Fritillaria thunbergii,Angelica sinensis,Radix Glycyrrhizae, and Codonopsis pilosula. Most drugs had a warm nature, followed by those with a neutral, cold or slightly cold nature, and most drugs had a sweet, biter or pungent taste, mainly entering the liver and spleen meridians. Most drugs had the function of soothing the liver and resolving stagnation.Hierarchical clustering obtained 4 clusters, and the associ-ation rule analysis showed that Prunella vulgaris-Astragalus membranaceus was the most commonly used drug com-bination.Conclusion:In the treatment of AIT in the non-hyperthyroidism stage,TCM emphasizes soothing the liver, invigorating spleen and kidney, resolving static blood, and eliminating goiter and applies the drugs for moving Qi,dr-ying dampness, and activating blood based on the pathological factors such as Qi stagnation, phlegm turbidity, and blood stasis.
