Analysis of Molecular typing and drug resistance of foodborne and humanized salmonella in Wenshan prefecture from 2018 to 2021
Objective To understand the serological type, molecular typing and drug resistance of salmonella in food monitoring and case surveillance in Wenshan prefecture from 2018 to 2021 and provide basis to reduce and control the prevalence of resistant salmonella strains. Methods The strains of salmonella were isolated from the samples collected from food and cases with foodborne disease in Wenshan prefecture from 2018 to 2021.The drug susceptibility testing of salmonella was performed with gram-negative aerobic susceptibility detection plate. The serotype was identified by salmonella diagnosis serum and the molecular typing was performed by pulsed field gel electrophoresis(PFGE).Results There were 74 salmonella strains isolated from 902 samples with detection rate of 8.2%,and the strains were divided into 17 serotypes. There were 57 strains resistant to ampicillin with resistance rate of 77.0%,and 68 strains were sensitivity to cefoxitin with sensitivity rate of 91.9%.The number of multi-resistant strains was 10 strains, the most in 2019.There were 60 banding patterns in the PFGE map,and 2 bands were dominant with cross resistance. The strains with the same bands had same serological types, and were salmonella enteritidis, but the drug resistance spectrums was not exactly the same. Conclusions The foodborne and human-derived salmonella are resistant to different antibiotics with multiple drug resistance in Wenshan prefecture from 2018 to 2021.The molecular types show polymorphic distribution, with dominant bands. The disease control and prevention institutions should expand the scope of surveillance as the resistance mechanisms of different serological types and molecular types of salmonella in local area,so as to provide effective warning for appearance and prevalence of resistant salmonella strains.
