Analysis of drug resistance of vibrio parahaemolyticus from different sources in Longyan city
Objective To analyze the characteristics of drug resistance of vibrio parahaemolyticus(VP)in fecal samples of diarrhea patients and market aquatic products in Longyan city. Methods Out of 162 strains of VP,there were 32 strains from human sources and 130 strains from aquatic products. The virulence genes were detected with real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR method to determine the toxigenic strains and non-toxigenic strains. The micro broth dilution method was used for 16 drug sensitivity tests. Results The sensitivity rates of amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, tetracycline, doxycycline, chloramphenicol and azithromycin were 100.0%in 162 strains of VP from different sources. But there were varying degrees of drug resistance to 9 drugs. The resistance rates of cefazolin(25.3%),ampicillin(15.4%),and compound sulfamethoxazole(13.0%)were high. There was no statistical difference in drug resistance rates between toxigenic strains and non-toxigenic strains(x2=0.353,P>0.05).There were 7 drug resistant spectrum. The rate of resistance to one drug was 15.4%,and the rate of multiple resistance to three drugs and more was 13.0%.Conclusions The characteristics of drug resistance of VP are similar in diarrhea patients and commercially available aquatic products, and the antibiotics used in clinical and aquaculture should be strictly controlled.
