Preliminary study and analysis of adult healthy life expectancy in Jingzhou city in 2021
Objective To understand the healthy level of residents in Jingzhou city of Hubei province,calculate the healthy life expectancy of adults in different genders and regions,and provide basis for developing health policies.Methods The permanent residents were randomly selected with multi-stage stratified random sampling method in Jingzhou,and the self-rated health status survey was carried out with the WHO self-rated health questionnaire.Based on hierarchial ordered probit(HOPIT)model,the disability measures was obtained through rectify self-reported health data,and the healthy life expectancy of the residents was calculated with Sullivan method.Results The healthy life expectancy(HALE)of 18 years old was 36.16 years old in the residents of Jingzhou city,of which,the HALE of the male was 35.96 years old and that of the female was 36.73 years old.The HALE of the urban population was 36.85 years old and that of the rural population was 35.63 years old.The proportion of life lost due to disability to life expectancy(LHE/LE)kept increasing with the age.Conclusions There are statistical differences in the HALEs of the residents between genders and between urban and rural population in Jingzhou city.The comprehensive health management of elder population should be strengthened for prolonging the healthspan.
