Analyses of incidence and mortality of malignant tumors in Wuhua district of Kunming in 2022
Objective To understand the incidence and death of malignant tumors in Wuhua district of Kunming city,Yunnan province in 2022,and provide evidence for formulating viable program of malignant tumors prevention and control.Methods The incidence and death information of malignant tumors among the residents with Wuhua district registration from January 1 to December 31,2022 were collected.The incidence(death)rate of malignant tumor,age-standardized rate by Chinese standard population(ASIRC),age-standardized rate by world standard population(ASIRW),truncated age-standardized rates of 35-64 years old and cumulative rate of 0-74 years old were calculated,and analyzed the order of top 10 incidence and mortality of malignant tumors.Results In 2022,there were 1812 new cancer cases in Wuhua district,with the crude incidence rate of 275.46/100 000.The age-standardized incidence rate by Chinese standard population(ASIRC)was 161.19/100 000.The truncated age-standardized incidence rate of 35-64 years old was 259.16/100 000,and the cumulative incidence rate of 0-74 years old was 17.40％.There were 667 cases deaths in 2022,and the crude mortality rate was 101.40/100 000.The age-standardized mortality rate by Chinese standard population was 43.84/100 000,and the age-standardized mortality rate by world standard population 50.30/100 000.The truncated age-standardized incidence rate of 35-64 years old was 56.44/100 000,and the cumulative mortality rate of 0-74 years old was 5.12％.The top 5 malignant tumors ranked by incidence rates in diminishing order were lung cancer,thyroid cancer,liver cancer,colon cancer and breast cancer.The top 5 cancer ranked by death rates were lung cancer,liver cancer,colon cancer,pancreatic cancer and rectal cancer.The morbidity and mortality increased with the age.The incidence rate of malignant tumor increased quickly from age group of 40-years,and reached the peak in the age group of 70-years(813.70/100 000),and the mortality of malignant tumor quickly increased from the age group of 55-years,and reached the peak in the age group of 85-years(690.63/100 000).Conclusions The incidence of malignant tumors in Wuhua district is basically the same with the incidence in whole province,and the mortality rate is much lower than that in the whole province.The lung cancer,thyroid cancer,liver cancer,colon cancer,rectal cancer,breast cancer and pancreatic cancer are the main malignant tumors.The morbidity and mortality of the male are higher than that of the female.The prevention and treatment of malignant tumors should be the one of the key health works in Wuhua district.
