Analysis of epidemic characteristics of human brucellosis in Wuwei city from 2011 to 2022
Objective To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of human brucellosis in Wuwei city,Gansu province from 2011 to 2022,and provide scientific basis for formulating targeted prevention and control measures.Methods The data of the reported cases with human brucellosis in Wuwei city from 2011 to 2022 were collected from the Chinese Disease Control and Prevention information System,and statistically analyzed the epidemic characteristics of the patients.Results From 2011 to 2022,a total of 3 115 cases with brucellosis were reported in Wuwei city,and the reported incidence showed the trend of increasing,decreasing,then increasing.The difference of the incidence rates in different year was statistical(x2=3 255.692,P＜0.05).The reported cases mainly concentrated during May to September and November to December,with 2 185 cases,accounting for 70.14％.The number of cases was the most in Liangzhou district,accounting for 37.78％,and was the least in Tianzhu Tibetan autonomous county,accounting for 12.46％.The ratio of gender was 2.55:1.The average annual incidence of the male(22.77/100 000)was higher than that of the female(9.27/100 000),with statistical difference(x2=529.233,P＜0.05).The age of the cases mainly concentrated in the age group of 30-69 years,accounting for 86.61％.Farmer cases were the main,and accounted for 82.86％.Conclusions The epidemic of human brucellosis shows an increasing trend,with obvious population and season distribution characteristics in Wuwei city from 2011 to 2022.The health education and publicity of brucellosis related knowledge should be continuously carried out.The surveillance and early diagnosis should be strengthened.The patients should be treated in time.The epidemic of brucellosis could be effectively controlled.
