Objective To understand the variation trend of premature death due to major non-communicable diseases among the residents in Baiyin city of Gansu province from 2018 to 2022.Methods The death data of audited permanent residents in Baiyin city from January 1,2018 to December 31,2022 were collected from the Death Information Registration Management System of China Disease Control and Prevention Information System. The data were coded according to the International Classification of Diseases(10th edition),and the annual percentage change(APC)was calculated to analyze the change trend. Results From 2018 to 2022,the crude mortality rate(APC=6.97%,t=5.480)and standardized mortality rate(APC=6.94%,t=5.263)of four major non-communicable diseases showed an increasing trend(P<0.05)in Baiyin city, and the probability of premature death was 10.31%to 12.00%.There was no statistical difference in the changing trend(P>0.05).The annual probability of premature death of the male was higher than that of the female(P<0.05)each year. The probability of premature death of the male due to chronic respiratory diseases showed increasing trend(APC=5.30%,t=3.442,P<0.05).The probabilities of premature death of chronic respiratory diseases and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases were high. Conclusions Four major non-communicable diseases are the main causes of death among residents of Baiyin city. The chronic respiratory diseases and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases should be paid attention to,and the male group is the key population.
