Analysis of public health emergencies in Xinjiang from 2014 to 2023
Objective To understand the occurrence of public health emergencies in Xinjiang from 2014 to 2023,in order to provide references for scientific response to all kinds of public health emergencies.Methods The data of public health emergencies in Xinjiang from 2014 to 2023 was collected from the National Public Health Emergency Report Management Information System,and statistically analyzed by SPSS 22.0 software.The difference of incidences was compared with chi-square test.Results There were 278 public health emergencies reported in Xinjiang from 2014 to 2023.Of which,10 478 patients occurred and 13 patients dead.Infectious diseases were the main,and accounted for 96.4%.Among the school-related public health emergencies,the number of emergencies reported by primary schools was the largest,and accounted for 45.26%of the total number of school-related public health emergencies.The attack rate was the highest of 4.31%at kindergartens.Conclusions The infectious diseases are the primary cause of public health emergencies in Xinjiang.Schools,especially primary schools and kindergartens are high-risk places for infectious diseases clusters.The monitoring and early warning of infectious diseases in the key places of schools should be strengthened in various districts.
