Analysis of genotype identification and follow-up of 8 cases with uncertain detection of HIV antibody
Objective To analyze how to maximize the detection of HIV infectors according to the detection strategies, and find the early HIV infectors as soon as possible,so as to reduce the transmission of HIV.Methods Various detection items were carried out for 8 HIV cases without confirmed test results, and the HIV infection status were analyzed and judged with epidemiological history. Results There were 8 samples reacted to the third generation antibody screening test or the fourth generation antigen and antibody screening test, but western blot(WB)test results were uncertain.During follow-up visits, the OD values of ELISA tests of all samples obviously increased that the OD values of ELISA increased and the WB test results changed to positive.Of which, the viral load of 5 samples were more than 5 000 copies/ml.The results of sequence analysis showed the genotype of HIV were CRF07_BC in 8 samples, and the drug-resistant mutation occurred in 2 samples. Conclusions Base on the HIV antibody screening tests, the HIV antigen and antibody diagnostic reagent, and the viral load test can effectively improve the detection rate of HIV infected patient. The surveillance of genotype and the strain with drug resistance(TDR)should be further strengthened.
