Analysis of plague surveillance in Jinghe county,Xinjiang from 2014 to 2023
Objective To understand the epidemic trend of animal plague in the plague focus of Jinghe county,Bozhou,and provide scientific basis for formulating plague prevention and control strategies,so as to propose prevention and control measures.Methods The plague surveillance data of Jinghe county,Bozhou,Xinjiang from 2014 to 2023 were collected and analyzed by descriptive epidemiology.The results of host animal and vector flea surveillance and immunological and etiological detection were analyzed.Results The density of citellus undulatus was 15.95/hm2 in Jinghe county,Bozhou from 2014 to 2023,and the capture rate of nocturnal rodents was 2.07%.The flea infection rate was 98.49%,and the total flea index was 5.70.The rate of flea infestation was 5.09%.A total of 4 912 serum samples were tested,and the positive rate of plague Fl antibody was 2.16%.268 canine blood samples were tested,the positive rate was 4.85%.A total of 4 912 samples were collected and 2 strains of Yersinia pestis were isolated.Two dead marmots were detected and one strain of yersinia pestis was isolated.A total of 27 888 fleas(1 197 groups)were tested and 4 strains of yersinia pestis were isolated.Conclusions The plague epidemic among animals in the natural foci of marmota and citellus undulatus in Jinghe county is relatively active.Joint prevention and control should be strengthened,the plague surveillance among animals should be done well,the plague risk assessment and the plague epidemic treatment among animals should be carried out in time to prevent the occurrence of human plague.
