Analysis of plague surveillance in Yining county from 2019 to 2023
Objective To grasp the dynamics of plague epidemic in Yining county,Xinjiang,from 2019 to 2023,and provide a basis for the prevention and control of plague.Methods Data from the Plague Prevention and Control Management Information System from 2019 to 2022 and plague surveillance reports from 2023 were collected and analyzed using descriptive epidemiological methods.Results From 2019 and 2023,a total of 268 spermophilus undulatus were captured with an average density of 5.36/hm2.172 nocturnal rats were captured through 3 940 rat traps with an average capture rate of 4.37%.1 746 spermophilus undulatus were combed for parasitic fleas,and 1 214 were infested by fleas with an average infestation rate of 82.25%;a total of 9 992 fleas were obtained with an average flea index of 6.77.The test results were negative,including 1 565 serum samples,1 476 liver and spleen samples 337 groups of 9 992 fleas.Conclusions During 2019 and 2023,The risk of plague epidemic among animals exists in Yining county.It is necessary to strengthen monitoring,expand the monitoring scope,and improve early warning and control capabilities to prevent the spread of animal plague to humans.
