Evaluation of capacity of laboratory testing in disease prevention and control institutions in Chenzhou city
Objective To understand the comprehensive ability of testing and detection of laboratory in disease prevention and control institutions at city and county levels in Chenzhou,and provide references for laboratory construction in disease control institutions.Methods From March 2022 to April 2023,a combination way of self-administered questionnaires and on-site verifications was used to investigate the current status and management system operating situation of the laboratories in Chenzhou center for disease control and prevention(CDC for short)and 11 CDCs at county-level administrated by Chenzhou city.Database was established by EXCEL 2010,and the data was analyzed by SPSS 28.0 software.Results The proportion of all laboratories area was 36.99％in total area of CDCs,and there were 6 CDCs reached the requirements.The proportion of laboratory personnel was 18.91％in the professional technicians.The configuration rate of class A instruments and equipment was 91.23％in Chenzhou CDC,and was 78.54％in the CDCs at county level on average.Over the past year,the implementation rate of type A test items was 82.30％in Chenzhou CDC,and was 44.46％in the CDCs at county level on average,and the implementation rate of the qualification confirmation was 51.31％in Chenzhou CDC,and was 51.11％in the CDCs at the county level on average.The average score of the operation of laboratory management system was 62.02 points.Conclusions It is difficult for the disease control institutions at the city and county levels in Chenzhou to adapt to the future demand for the laboratory testing ability of the disease control center.It is suggested to bring the operation of laboratory management system into the assessment content of CDC standardization construction to improve the management level.
