Objective To understand the bacterial contamination of public articles in four key places including supermarkets,hotels,childcare institutions and elderly care institutions in Suzhou district of Jiuquan city,Gansu province in 2023,and provide a scientific basis for strengthening health supervision and management in key locations in the future.Methods According to GB/T 18204.4-2013 Hygienic Inspection Methods for Public Places-Part 4:Microorganisms in Public Articles and Utensils,different kinds of articles in public health key places such as kindergartens,pension institutions,supermarkets and hotels in Suzhou district of Jiuquan city were randomly selected and detected for the total number of bacteria.The qualified judgment was carried out according to GB 37488-2019 Hygienic Indicators and Limits of Public Places.Chi-square tests were used to compare differences in rates.Results A total of 828 samples were tested,613 samples are qualified,representing a qualification rate of 74.03%.The qualification rate was the highest in kindergartens(94.29%)and the lowest in pension institutions(53.40%).There was a statistical difference in the qualification rate of public articles in different locations(x2=90.448,P<0.01).The qualified rate of total bacterial count was the highest in other surface categories(79.77%)and the lowest in cups(60.98%),and there was a statistical difference in the qualified rate of various public goods in different locations(x2=29.966,P<0.01).The qualification rate of total bacteria on other surfaces was the highest in kindergartens(100.00%),and the lowest in pension institutions(59.29%),with a statistically significant difference(x260.522,P<0.01).There was a statistical difference in the qualified rate of staff between kindergartens(88.09%)and pension institutions(35.00%)(x2=28.537,P<0.01).Conclusions The bacterial contamination of various public articles in different public places in Suzhou district of Jiuquan city are quite different,and there are potential hygiene and safety risks.Disease control departments should strengthen the supervision and management of public health and urge business units to improve the health management system.Regular conduct training on health and infectious disease prevention and control knowledge,increase the frequency of sanitary disinfection and detection,rectify unqualified business units within a specified time to ensure the health and safety of the people.
