Application of Branch Pipe Welding Stress Relief Technology Based on Vibratory Aging
Welding of large steel branch pipe components can generate significant residual stress, affecting the service life of steel components. This paper takes the steel branch pipe of the Daxing Branch of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project as the experimental component and uses the VSR-80 type multifunctional portable vibration stress relief system for vibratory aging treatment of the branch pipe. The results show that this technology is simple to operate and features energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, and convenience. After vibratory aging treatment, the average reduction rate of residual stress in the branch pipe reached 35. 7%. This technology provides important technical guidance for the elimination of welding residual stress in large steel structures in water conservancy projects, contributing to the improvement of the safety and reliability of engineering structures.
