Analysis of Safety Monitoring Data During the Construction Phase of the Mudstone Core Wall Dam at Wanglong Reservoir
Mudstone is a typical rock formation in the southwestern region of China. In order to ensure the safety of the construction of the mudstone core wall dam at Wanglong Reservoir, monitoring points were strategically placed on the dam crest and within the dam to observe key parameters such as horizontal displacement, vertical settlement, seepage flow, and seepage pressure. Safety monitoring data analysis reveals that the measured values and their monthly rate of change at each monitoring point inside and outside the dam are relatively small and remain within the normal range. The variations in dam foundation seepage pressure show stability without adverse events or abrupt changes, indicating the normal and stable safety status of the dam. The analysis results validate the accuracy and reliability of parameters such as the mudstone admixture ratio for the core wall, providing crucial technical guidance for the construction of the dam fill.
