Analysis of Key Technical Points in Seepage Prevention Reinforcement Construction for the Xingkenglang Reservoir Dam
The paper focuses on the Xingkenglang Reservoir in Kaiping City. Due to its early construction, the dam was built under limited conditions and with materials available at that time, leading to poor compaction of the fill soil and medium-to-high permeability. As the water level in the reservoir rises and exceeds the external water level significantly, serious seepage issues in the dam body have been observed, leading to a decrease in dam stability and endangering its safe operation. Therefore, there is an urgent need for seepage prevention reinforcement of the dam. Based on the current state of the Xingkenglang Reservoir dam, several seepage prevention construction technology plans for the dam body were proposed. After comprehensive evaluation, the chosen solution for the dam reinforcement combines high-pressure jet grouting with curtain grouting. Upon completion of this construction plan, the seepage issues in the Xingkenglang Reservoir dam were resolved, ensuring the safety of the reservoir.
