Analysis of Shock Absorption Effect of Pre-split Cracks in Smooth Face Blasting
In order to explore the parameters of pre-split cracks, taking the pipeline excavation of section 1 of the third section of the expansion project of Haishao Reservoir in Binchuan County,Dali Prefecture as an example,a numerical calculation model of pre-split crack blasting was constructed using LS-DYNA software. The study analyzes the effects of pre-split crack depth, length, and water filling height on the shock absorption effect. The results indicate that,to achieve better shock absorption effects, the length and depth of pre-split cracks should be controlled within a certain range of blast hole depth. The shock absorption effect after filling water into the pre-split cracks is significantly weaker than without filling. In cases where water filling is necessary due to engineering reasons, the water filling height in the pre-split cracks should be controlled within 0.4 times the depth of the pre-split cracks.
