Discussion on the Reinforcement Plan for Daicun Stone Dam in the Dawen River Basin Using Gabion Stone Mattress
In the context of upstream inflow, downstream backwater, and surrounding seepage, this paper explores how to quickly and efficiently complete the reinforcement of the gabion stone mattress downstream of the Daicun Stone Dam.Through the comparison of multiple schemes and several precise on-site adjustments,a construction plan was finally adopted involving graded dewatering,multi-level diversion, and the use of steel plate linings. This construction plan takes full advantage of the high strength and non-deformability of steel plates, and the high tensile strength and flexibility of gabion wires, thus overcoming the weakness of gabion wires in shear resistance. The plan features good forming effects, fast construction, excellent overall integrity, and aesthetic surface appearance. It provides significant reference value for underwater and above-water gabion and wire mesh construction, and can be widely applied in river regulation, sluice reinforcement, embankment reinforcement, and other projects. It is particularly suitable for construction in areas with high groundwater levels and where dewatering and drainage are challenging.
