Research on Energy Dissipation in Tunnel Spillways Considering Hydraulic Characteristics
To address the issue of excessive energy in the flow within tunnel spillways, which can easily cause erosion and damage to the tunnel body and downstream river channels,a study was conducted on energy dissipation structures within tunnel spillways, taking into account hydraulic characteristics.Hydraulic parameters such as water level, flow rate, flow velocity, and pressure within the tunnel spillway were obtained.A stepped spillway structure was designed for energy dissipation within the tunnel spillway. The results indicate that the energy dissipation structure designed in this study exhibits relatively small variations in the water surface profile, flow velocity, and flow pressure along the tunnel spillway, demonstrating good energy dissipation performance.
