Effect of Granulation Process on the Properties of AgWC(12)C(3)Electrical Contact Material
AgWC(12)C(3)mixed powder was prepared by chemical coating method and granulated by sintering, glue mixing and dry granulation respectively to obtain certain fluidity, and then electrical contacts were prepared by pressing-sintering-recompressing-annealing-recompressing by the powder. The resistivity, bending strength and other critical characteristics of the material were tested to study the influence of granulating process on the mechanical and physical properties and service life of AgWC(12)C(3)electrical contact material. The results show that the dry granulation process can significantly reduce the resistivity of the material, improve the bending strength and service life of the material.Compared with the powder sintering granulation process, the resistivity is reduced by 9.7%,the bending strength is increased by 23%,and the electrical life is increased by more than 78%.
