Study of the Defect Detection with Eddy Current Applied in Checking the Appearance of AgMeO Wire
The basic principles of defect detection with eddy current were stated. The selection of defect detection instrument, probe and the setting of parameters such as wire drawing speed for using this inspection technology to check the appearance of AgMeO wire online were introduced. The testing results of various defective wire samples were compared with that of the standard wire sample. The possibility of online inspection of the wire appearance for small batch of AgMeO material during wire drawing process was evaluated.
