The insulation materials are indispensable for low-voltage switchgear. The advantages and disadvantages of its performance indicators such as insulation compressive strength,heat resistance level,flame retardant level,mechanical strength,insulation resistance,etc. seriously affect the safety performance of low-voltage switchgear. In this paper analyzes the influence of different performance indicators of insulating materials on low-voltage switchgear,so as to give guidance on how to reasonably select insulating materials in the design process of low-voltage switchgear.
