Optimization of Capacity Configuration for Wind Solar Energy Storage Microgrid of Remote Rural Areas
Due to geographical and demographic limitations,the cost of connecting remote rural areas in China to the main power grid may be high. In this situation,establishing rural microgrids in remote areas and utilizing local renewable resources may be more economical. This article investigated the feasibility of operating isolated microgrids in rural areas. Three Chinese villages were selected and a simulation model was constructed to simulate their electricity consumption patterns. Subsequently,a multi-objective optimization scheduling model was proposed to minimize operating costs and any related environmental impacts. The numerical calculation results conducted in MATLAB indicate that remote rural microgrids are a feasible option for rural electrification in China.
