Transmission Line Icing Detection Based on Genetic Algorithm and Image Processing
Icing of transmission lines will seriously endanger the stable operation of power systems.To accurately detect the icing state of transmission lines,this paper proposes a transmission line icing detection method based on genetic algorithm and image processing.Firstly,the images were grayed and enhanced in this method,after that,the enhanced images were performed by the improved median filtering to remove noise.Scecondly,the optimal threshold of the image was iteratively calculated by the genetic algorithm to divide the images,afterwards the morphological process and connected domain analysis was performed to divided images to remove the background related part.The experimental results show that the method can detect the icing part quickly and accurately providing an effective guarantee for the safe operation of transmission lines.
