Fault Location Analysis of Distribution Network Lines with Distributed Generation Inverters
To address the issue of fault location in distribution network lines with distributed generation inverters,a single-ended location technique utilizing voltage and current signals is proposed. The basic model of a distributed generation unit is first analyzed, and the sequence impedance network of distributed generation inverters is discussed.Fault localization models for single-phase ground faults,two-phase ground faults, and two-phase interphase faults are proposed and simulated for the effects of post-fault waveforms and DC component attenuation, which illustrate the effect of fault impedance on fault localization, and the fault localization does not depend on the pre-fault information. The proposed method demonstrates high performance in dealing with changes in fault resistance and the dynamic behavior of arcs.
