The connection of wind generations to distribution networks strongly affects power quality.The present work studied a regulation control strategy based on static var compensator(SVC)and improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO).In order to solve susceptibility of distribution networks'voltage stability to the fluctuating output of wind tur-bines under varying wind speed,SVC is used to improve voltage stability.Considering different wind speed scenarios,SVC control parameters are optimized by introducing IPSO and using minimum loss as the objective to improve the control utili-ty of SVC.Simulative calculation carried out using IEEE 33 nodes example integrating with wind generations verified cor-rectness and feasibility of the proposed strategy.
