Based on the relevant literature,this paper summarizes current situation and future development trend of wind power generation.The review mainly entails the following aspects:development history and power generation principle of wind generation and wind turbines,research results of new wind turbines including vertical axis wind turbines,large wind turbines,etc.,development of new technologies such as multi-rotor wind turbines,offshore wind power generation,wind energy storage,etc.,and problems and challenges in future development including low utilization efficiency of wind resources and stability of wind farms.
