High-order-harmonic-based Real-time Detection System of Tunnel Cables
Urban tunnel cables inevitably encounter various faults during long-term services. In view of this, the present work designed a real-time detection system for operation status of tunnel cables. The system employs immobily-installed equipment to regularly collect cables'high-order harmonics which are then decomposed and reorganized through wavelet analysis, acquiring characteristic values of each order of harmonics(harmonic content). The processed data are subsequently transmitted into expert database for comparison,so as to determine whether the cable has a fault and to obtain the cable's health index. The real-time collected data will be stored, and management personnel can ascertain cables'operation status by viewing the stored data, facilitating timely elimination of potential safety hazards. The designed system may help in guaranteeing safety of urban electricity consumption, and reducing urban electric outages and cable-failure-induced safety accidents.
