Troubleshooting Method for Electromagnetic Valve in Nitrogen Pressure Stabilization of Converter Valve Cooling System in High Voltage Direct Current Transmission
This paper reports a valve cooling system malfunction occurred at an actual converter station which led to a se-ries of alarms due to a fault in its expansion tank exhaust electromagnetic valve.The main structure of the valve cooling system is given and combined with the fault case.The potential risks of the electromagnetic valve in current applied nitro-gen pressure control method of valve cooling system are specified,and the corresponding risk management suggestions are proposed.
