Study on Common Fault Analysis and Reliability Improvement of UHVDC Transmission Lines
By analyzing the common faults and defects of UHVDC transmission line engineering, the key factors affecting safe operation are clarified in this paper. The faults that affect safe and stable operation of transmission lines are mainly caused by ice damage and lightning strike. The defects mainly come from jumper wire, drainage wire, ground wire and other parts.Aiming at addressing common faults and defects of UHVDC transmission lines, the measures to improve line reliability are given from the aspects of path selection, meteorological conditions, guide ground, insulators and fittings, tower design, etc. These measures are practically operable and can effectively reduce the probability of failure.
