Optimal Allocation of DC Peaking Power Considering Transmission and Reception Coordination for Grid Containing High-proportion New Energy Sources
The allocation of peaking power sources can optimise DC power delivery curve and reduce power dumping of supply side, but excessive peaking power capacity will increase construction cost. This study established a mathematical model of the overall power output of supply side and calculated the DC power curve of typical daily power output at the supply side month by month.By taking consumption/absorption of new energy generation at receiving side and yearly DC power output as the constraints, the scale of peaking power allocation at supply side was adjusted repeatedly to satisfy the constraints and achieve rational and optimal allocation of supply side peaking power sources. This method provides a scientific basis for allocation of supply side sources with respect to large-scale DC transmission.
