Fault Analysis and Preventive Measures of a Case of Rig Generator Blackout
Generators are important power sources for oil rigs,and there operational stability directly affects production efficiency and equipment safety.This paper reports the causal analysis about a case fault of rig generator blackout,and proposes a modified inverter shutdown control method for this kind of problems.It can be concluded from the comparative analysis of draw works motor's operating parameter curves before and after modification that the modified control method does not cause rapid increase in generator current,avoiding rig generator blackout and improving reliability of generator operation.
