The present work used 9 evaluation indicators, including microtopography factors, meteorological conditions, ice cover observation data during the same period, etc.,and employed principal component analysis algorithm to calculate 30 typical cases of transmission line small micro-terrain areas, and to establish a comprehensive evaluation model for de-ployment positions of stress wave defrosters according to the variance contribution rate.Comprehensive scores of the cases with normal distribution were calculated by selecting the first four principal components whose cumulative variance contri-bution rate was greater than 90%.Furthermore,the priority of the stress wave generator in the 30 areas to be installed was given.
