The oil replenishment of the currently prevailing on-load tap changers requires switch-off of power transformers and hence results in power outage.The present work designed an oil replenish apparatus for on-load tap changers which enables outage-free operation.The device apparatus can install a small copper pipe in the respirator tube that can enter into the tap changer's oil pillow.The oil pipe is equipped with a check valve at the bottom,and an oil filling device which feeds the oil into the oil pillow.The apparatus realizes automatic outage-free oil replenishment function,and provides an ap-proach to addressing the problem of frequent switch-off of power transformers equipped with Guizhou Changzheng Electric ZVM series vacuum on-load tap-changers.
