As the core equipment at generator outlets of small and medium-sized hydropower plants,vacuum switchgear has special performance requirements.In view of this the present work made an attempt at developing a new apparatus of generator outlet handcart-type switch.The development of the product entailed 3D scheme design,electric and tempera-ture field simulation,prototype trial assembly,and type-test verification.The designed products have been successfully applied in national key projects such as YinHanjiwei Golden Gorge and Sanhekou and achieved stable and reliable opera-tion.
