Causal Analysis and Case Study of Transmission Line Faults
With respect to several faults with ambiguous evidence encountered by transmission lines in Xinjiang power grid, the present work carried out fault inversion and causal analysis based on the fault recording data.First, the fault characteristics of long arc were extracted according to the voltage and current characteristics of the fault waveforms.Then,contamination-induced flashovers were regarded as the primary focus of fault record analysis, since they are charac-terized by easily missing fault evidence, sparse fault records, and more frequent occurrence in spring compared to other fault types. Finally, the time-domain characteristics of the fault resistance were obtained by using phasor method, and the fault inversion from the waveforms recording was achieved by determining control theory-based arc parameters, thereby validating the hypothesis of contamination-induced flashover fault.
