Applicative Practice of 500 kV GIS AC Voltage Tolerance Test in Smart Grid Construction
In order to further promote smart grid construction and ensure the intellectualized operation of electric grids, the practical application of 500 kV GIS AC voltage tolerance test in smart grid construction was explored. The practice en-tailed first accurate determination of GIS equipment parameters to avoid damage, second calculation of parameters such as main circuit capacitance, equivalent resistance, etc.,for the selection of equipment and optimal wiring method, and third, the preliminary test operating the isolation switch and circuit breaker and the following voltage tolerance test for data col-lection.The test results showed that when approaching the voltage threshold, the five groups uniformly raised the DC test voltage to 6 kV.When the charging current was relatively stable,it could more accurately control the test voltage to the target value. The oscillation period was within 0.51 s,and the current value approached 0.The oscillation amplitude was small, and there observed no obvious rebound overvoltage phenomenon. This indicated that the 500 kV GIS AC voltage tolerance test can effectively examine the insulation performance of the equipment which ensures standard-qualified work-ing condition of the equipment before initial operation, and promptly detect potential voltage partial discharge problems.
