Aiming at addressing inadequacies in fault isolation function and action speed with respect to currently prevailing substation branch protection technologies,the present work made a successful attempt to design and implement a branch protection device with fault isolation function.The device was proved by experimental and applicative verifications to have potential advantages such as high protection accuracy,fast action,and fault isolation function.
