"EMUs-Network"Synchronous Current-based Ground Fault Identification Scheme for AT Traction Networks
The rapid development of high-speed railways has greatly facilitated wide application of AT traction networks. However, the performance boost of electric multiple units(EMUs)and the nonlinear relationship between the measured impedance and the distance to ground fault results in quite limited cover range of distance protection in AT traction net-works.By modeling the AT traction network with operating EMUs and exploring the current distribution characteristics under the condition of ground fault, the present work proposed a ground fault identification scheme based on"EMUs-net-work"synchronous current. The scheme was expected to have high identification accuracy and satisfactory selectivity by well distinguishing ground faults with EMUs,and was preliminarily verified to be effective under various fault situations through a case simulation using MATLAB/Simulink.
