Sensorless Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Using a New-type Sliding Mode Observer
In the sensorless vector control of permanent magnet synchronous motors, the rotor position is crucial informa-tion,for which the conventional estimation methods usually result in high frequency buffeting. In order to eliminate buffe-ting,a new sliding mode observer was designed, which substituted a continuous saturation function for the discontinuous switch function to avoid time and spatial lags, and substituted a phase-locked loop for the arctangent function to reduce buffeting error.A simulative back-EMF estimation preliminarily verified that the proposed method could effectively achieve vector control and eliminate high-frequency buffeting.
