Causal Analysis of of 35 kV high-voltage Switchgear Fault During Initial Energization
High-voltage switchgears often encounter faults during the initial energization process, which impacts safe and stable operation of the electric system and also results in economic losses of electric enterprises. This essay reports briefly the on-site inspection and causal analysis on a fault case of initial energization encountered by an actual 35 kV high-voltage switchgear. The causal factors of the fault was determined to be moisture and condensation of the internal contact box,the slip in the pre-energization examination which omitted insulation status of some key equipment, and standard-violated be-havior during energizing operation. The essay also gives corresponding preventive measures and suggestions with respect to the fault accident, including strengthening inspection and maintenance of internal earthing system, optimizing pre-energi-zation inspection process flow, improving operator training, etc.,hoping to provide useful information for the handling of similar problems.
