Study on Load Slump Prevention of Turbine Governors of Large Hydro-generator Unit
The turbine governors of hydro-generator units has the functions of grid connection and regulation, which is the key part to realize units'normal operation.During the flood season, the generator set head is low,the guide vane opening degree is opened to the governor's maximum opening limit and still can't reach the full load operation. The monitoring sys-tem continues to issue the guide vane instruction to the governor system, which leads to the governor's PGV code value continuously accumulating and flipping to inconsistent state, and further to load slump. This paper puts forward a PCC control logic optimized for improving governor of the large hydroelectric turbine unit.First a combined load determined PGV upper limit control statement is added on the PCC(programmable computer controller)program,so as to avoid the inconsistency that occurs when the PGV code value turns over after exceeding the range.Second a guide vane feedback and setting control is introduced to maintain a low difference between the monitor and the governor and improve the coopera-tion.Finally the effectiveness of the improved PCC control logic in this paper in solving governor PGV flipping-induced load slump is verified by experiment.
